Uzbekistan to exempt self-employed citizens from income tax

On May 19, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a video conference to discuss additional measures to support entrepreneurship amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and related restrictions in the country, the president’s official website reported.

It was said at the meeting that activity is being restored in various sectors of the economy. Dividing the regions into “green”, “yellow” and “red” zones based on the epidemiological situation, about 110 thousand business entities have been allowed to resume activities, and more than 600 thousand people have returned to their jobs.
