Official order of stay of tourists in Uzbekistan for the period of the coronavirus
Uzbekistan, a country free of a new type of COVID-19 virus, remains open for tourists today.
However, in our country all precautions are taken to prevent the spread of the virus in the republic. We publish the official Procedure for the implementation of measures by tourists arriving in Uzbekistan in accordance with Decision No. 2 of 02.27.2020 of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Additional Prevention and improvement of measures against the epidemic of infection and its entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan ”.
According to this Order:
– All citizens (regardless of which country they belong to) arriving on a charter flight or other specialized transport from China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Afghanistan and Japan are quarantined in specialized medical institutions for 14 calendar days under the supervision of medical personnel.
– all citizens arriving in Uzbekistan by direct flight, in transit from China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Afghanistan, Japan, France, the USA, Germany, Singapore, Spain, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan undergo an initial examination, and if no signs of the virus are detected would be placed in isolation at home (residential building, apartment, hotel).
Explain: After undergoing a medical examination at the airport, the tourist fills out a questionnaire, which indicates the length of stay in Uzbekistan and the address of the hotel or other residential premises in which he will reside. Within 14 calendar days, citizens must live in isolation in these premises without visiting public places and contacting only with their loved ones. During this period, they will be assigned a district doctor who will monitor the patient’s health and conduct the necessary procedures at home. In case of violation of the Order, the citizen is subject to an administrative fine.
– All citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan from Thailand, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, the UAE are registered with the hospital at the place of residence, where doctors will monitor their health status remotely. They are not recommended to visit crowded places.
– all citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan from Bahrain, Kuwait, Armenia, Belarus, Amman, Pakistan, Georgia, Czech Republic, Iraq, Lebanon, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Greece, Holland, Norway, Austria, Denmark, Sweden can freely move in the country, having notified the territorial medical institutions in advance.
Nevertheless, they are not recommended to be in crowded places and at least to contact with others. On the part of the health care provider, a citizen will be interviewed daily by telephone.
* The exception is members of official and government organizations, as well as persons with diplomatic and service passports, crew members involved in transportation, and drivers of international traffic.
** Persons who violate this Procedure are brought to administrative responsibility in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
*** After 14 calendar days, with no signs of the virus, all citizens can freely move around Uzbekistan.
**** Citizens arriving from countries not listed above can travel freely in Uzbekistan.
