Cooperation issues discussed in Dubai
On February 6, 2020, the Consul General of Uzbekistan Alisher Salomov met with the newly appointed director of the Dubai office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Maktum bin Butti Al Maktoum.
During the meeting, the state and prospects of cooperation in various fields were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that recently the relations between the two countries have noticeably intensified due to the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE in March 2019 and the agreements reached. Currently, documents signed during the visit are being implemented in the economic, investment, social, cultural and other fields.
In the emirates, it was positively accepted that in the Address of the President to the Oliy Majlis, the UAE were named among the key partners of Uzbekistan.
The emirate’s side was provided with detailed information about the first Tashkent International Investment Forum planned in March.
Maktum bin Butti Al Maktoum highly appreciated the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the created conditions for UAE citizens who can visit our country without a visa.
At the end of the meeting, the willingness of the parties to further strengthen mutually beneficial ties and cooperation was confirmed.
