Meeting with Mrs. Farida Abdulla Kamber Al Awadhi, Chairperson of the Emirates Business Women Council

On June 19, 2019, Mr. Alisher Salomov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Dubai and Northern Emirates has received the delegation of the Emirates Business Women Council led by the Council Chairman, Mrs. Farida Abdulla Kamber Al Awadhi. The delegation included Council Board members Mrs. Halima Abdullah Rashed Al Sayegh, Mrs. Yusra Saleh Al Yafei, Mrs. Suraya, Mrs. Yasmin Salman as well as Mrs. Khanzada Baltaeva, the President of International Global Women’s Leadership, the non-profit organization in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Apart from Business Council of the UAE they represent, each member of the delegation successfully run their own businesses in various fields such as construction and real estate, supply chain and logistics, architecture and interior design, innovative medical technologies, etc.  Mr. Salomov opened a meeting with the speech highlighting the recent reforms initiated by a new progressive leadership. The presentation with video-materials showcasing touristic destinations and investment climate in Uzbekistan was prepared by consulate team and active members of Uzbek Business Council in Dubai. The main topic of the meeting was the emphasis of women’s role in democratic reforms in Uzbekistan, creating opportunities for women entrepreneurship activities alongside men. Also, the investment potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the preferences provided to foreign companies were highlighted during the meeting. In turn, the head of the Women Business Council of the UAE expressed her interest to invest in Uzbekistan and asked to organize a meeting with their colleagues in Uzbekistan. The delegation has plans to visit Uzbekistan in August 2019. The parties reached an agreement on further business relations for cooperation in various fields.
